'Adoration': Take a trip through Revelation 4 to see the true majesty of the LORD our God, and how worthy He is of our worship. Then begin your own pattern of worship through these daily readings.
Morning Psalm (Psalm 33)
Lunchtime Gospel (Matthew 11:28-30)
Evening Epistle (Ephesians 3:14-21)
'Confession': It's not about you. Stop with the psycho-analytical shopping list of sins you drag up every time 'confession' is mentioned. Confession is about the damage done to your relationship with God, and what He has done to restore it through Christ's death and resurrection.
Pray for God to show you both the hurt your sin has caused, and His abundant grace to heal and overcome.
At the end of the day: Psalm 32
'Thanksgiving'
Say grace. Be thankful for all you take for granted. These include food and drink. Home and family. Ability to work and contribute. Everything.
Philippians 4:12-13
'Supplication' (asking)
Why doesn't God answer our prayers? Too often we begin with asking before we understand what God's will is - for our soul to rest in Him. And when our soul is fully in God, then our heart, our mind and our body are often renewed, even if it is simply the strength to get through the circumstances. Pray always, expecting God's creative will to be fulfilled in great ways.
James 4:1-3, 5:13-16.
John 14:14.
